Small bug reaching the top in my garden…
When I started in 2014 with photography, I put my hands on all books I could get. Many were made in project style, showing you all genres and how you can get the typical shots. I wanted to try everything, so I experimented a lot. One of my goals was to get a portrait photo of a spider at work, the difficulty was to get the shot from the front directly eye to eye. I then realized, that it is almost impossible to get them from front. They are always hanging very low, with the back to a possible camera perspective and facing down. I needed 4 months to find finally a spider which was hanging high enough so that I could get low enough to get the shot. Then the next challenge was to wait until the wind stopped moving the grass she was hanging on. She was smaller than 1 cm and she moved a lot…
Most important lesson learned:
Patience!
Since then I never got them in that perspective again. That makes this photo unique for me and I wanted to share it with you 🙂
